Lab Tests Online Goes International

Despite the Internet’s global reach, there is still value in “localizing” content for specific populations, particularly when that content is intended to improve patient understanding of their healthcare. In the case of Lab Tests Online, this involves adapting existing information to a particular country’s language, policies, practices, and public health issues. We took our first step in 2004 when the Association of Clinical Biochemists, our partner in the United Kingdom, launched Lab Tests Online-UK, the first of many national versions of the site to launch around the globe.  In each country, we are partnering with professional laboratory societies to ensure that the information remains as it is here on the original US version -- patient-focused, non-commercial, and peer-reviewed.
